Formation of environmental culture among youth

As part of the pedagogical practice, an open educational hour was held at the M. Auezov Museum, dedicated to the topic "Prospects for the formation of environmental culture among youth" in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals.

This important event was organized under the guidance of PhD, Associate Professor S.V. Ananyeva and Senior Lecturer of the Department of Pedagogy and Educational Management A. Masimbaeva, together with first-year doctoral students in the specialty "Russian Language and Literature" from the Faculty of Philology at KazNU.

The speaker was the invited guest – the Executive Director of the Greenup.kz Public Foundation, ecologist, and co-founder of the Recycle "Birge" environmental movement, Pakizat Saylaubekova, along with volunteers – students from the KazNMU named after S.D. Asfendiyarov, Fariza Dauletbaikyzy and Amina Yerbolgan.

During the event, the speaker, volunteers, and students discussed the role of the interaction between ecology and the younger generation, as well as explored ways to preserve the environment through the contribution of each individual to the ecosystem of our planet and city. The students shared their experiences in environmental protection, talked about measures to preserve natural resources – water, electricity, and natural resources in general. The participants discovered new perspectives on forming environmental culture among youth.

At the end of the event, the students asked the speaker relevant questions and exchanged opinions on the discussed topic. Thus, the youth's perspective on environmental issues was voiced. This meeting helped draw attention to environmental issues and ways to address them, sparking significant interest among the participants.
