Psychological Support of Al-Farabi KazNU and the Scientific and Practical Center «Inclusive Environment» within the framework of SDG-4: «Quality Education» held a seminar-training on «Effective Communication Skills» for students living in Dormitory No. 6 on march 14. The training started with the «Introduction» exercise aimed at establishing positive relationships between the participants.

The Psychological Support Service and the "Inclusive Environment" Scientific-Practical Center at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University organized a seminar-training on "Effective Communication Skills" for students residing in Dormitory No. 6 on March 14. The training began with the "Getting to Know Each Other" exercise, aimed at establishing positive relationships between participants.

The goal of the training: The goal of this training is to develop participants' effective communication skills, which will allow them to improve interaction in both their professional and personal lives. The training is aimed at improving the ability to listen, express thoughts clearly and precisely, as well as developing the ability to perceive information and respond to it while considering the context.

Training objectives:

  • To familiarize participants with the main principles of effective communication.
  • To develop active listening and empathy skills.
  • To teach the use of non-verbal communication elements (gestures, facial expressions, intonation).
  • To teach how to overcome communication barriers, such as misunderstandings and biases.
  • To develop skills for constructive and professional communication in conflict situations.
  • To boost self-confidence during public speaking and negotiations.
