On March 13, 2025, an important meeting for international students was held at the "Keremet" Student Service Center, organized by the Department of Internationalization and Recruitment. The meeting covered key aspects of visa procedures that international students face while studying in Kazakhstan. The meeting was attended by international students from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, who also received valuable information about visa processes and asked questions of interest.

Department staff thoroughly explained the main points related to obtaining and extending visas, as well as complying with visa regulations. The discussion focused on important issues such as the deadlines for submitting documents to the visa center, the visa extension procedure, and the rules for leaving Kazakhstan and returning. Special attention was given to recommendations on adhering to the deadlines for submitting applications in order to avoid problems with visa status.

Additionally, the issue of diploma recognition was raised, specifically the process of recognizing foreign diplomas in Kazakhstan. Students received useful information about the necessary documents and procedures that can help facilitate the recognition of their academic qualifications.

A note for international students: It was also emphasized that violations of visa rules could lead to serious consequences, including fines and even deportation. Therefore, participants were reminded of the importance of careful attention to visa requirements and timely submission of all documents.

This informational seminar provided invaluable support to international students by equipping them with the necessary knowledge to properly comply with visa regulations and laws in Kazakhstan. The event received positive feedback from students, who noted that they gained comprehensive explanations and advice on important visa and migration policy issues.

The meeting is also aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). SDG 4 – Quality Education – is supported by providing students with information on visa procedures, which improves their learning experience and helps them overcome administrative barriers. SDG 10 – Reduced Inequality – is reflected in ensuring equal conditions for all students, regardless of their visa status, thus promoting social inclusion. SDG 16 – Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions – is supported by creating transparent mechanisms for complying with visa norms, which strengthens the rule of law and increases students' confidence in legal protection.
