The ASSEMBLY OF THE PEOPLE OF KAZAKHSTAN is THE PLEDGE OF PEACE AND UNITY

On March 20, 2025, at 2 p.m The Department of “Foreign Philology and Translation” at the Philological Faculty of al-Farabi Kazakh National University held a meeting on the topic: "The ASSEMBLY OF THE PEOPLE OF KAZAKHSTAN is THE PLEDGE OF PEACE AND UNITY". The event was organized by the senior lecturer Baieli A.Zh., and the 1st-year PhD students of "Foreign Philology" major Konys E., Anuar G. The special guests were invited to the event. They were the head of the "Turkmen public cultural center" Ethnocultural Association, Annakuliyeva G. A., the head of the "Muras" Kyrgyz Ethnocultural Association, Tashibekov M. N., the leading expert of the Office for ensuring the activities of the Republican House of Friendship in Almaty of the Kogamdyk Kelisim State University of the Committee for the Development of Interethnic Relations of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, curator of the Turkmen Socio-Cultural Center, A. Zhakupova.
The Assembly of People of Kazakhstan (APK) is a unique institution created to ensure interethnic harmony, stability and unity in the country. Its activities are aimed at implementing State national policy, strengthening socio-political stability and increasing the effectiveness of interaction between state and civil institutions in the field of interethnic relations.
Annakuliyeva G. A. noted that the important mission of the APK is to preserve and develop the cultural heritage of various ethnic groups by supporting cultural centers, festivals and educational programs. The Chairman of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan is the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The Chairman of the Assembly determines and approves the main directions of the Assembly's activities. He has two deputies who are appointed on the basis of recommendations of the Council of the Assembly by acts of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
A demo lesson on the topic: "Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan" is an effective tool to foster patriotism, tolerance and respect for cultural diversity. In a multinational society, such events contribute to strengthening interethnic harmony and unity, which is the key to Kazakhstan stability and prosperity.
Tashibekov M. N. mentioned that conducting such a lesson helps expand students' knowledge about the multinational composition of Kazakhstan and the activities of the APK. The students realized the importance of interethnic harmony for the country’s stability and prosperity, and learned to respect and appreciate cultural diversity. The formation of a sense of pride in one's homeland and an understanding of one's role in preserving peace and harmony are the key results of this event.
In conclusion, the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan is an important institution contributing to the strengthening of interethnic harmony, the preservation of cultural heritage and the development of civil society in Kazakhstan. Its work serves as an example of how to effectively manage ethnic diversity and ensure stability and prosperity in a multinational state.
