On April 1, 2025, as part of the implementation of SDG No. 17 "Partnership for Sustainable Development", the Faculty of Law successfully hosted a leadership lecture by the Deputy Head of the Police Department of the Auezovsky district of Almaty for investigation, Police Major Matakbaev Didar Zhumagalievich, organized by the Department of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics, for students on the topic: "Innovations and technologies in law enforcement agencies." The lecture was devoted to modern technologies and innovations that are actively being implemented in the activities of law enforcement agencies to ensure a safer society. Innovations and technologies in law enforcement, such as cyber policing, are playing an increasingly important role in ensuring security and maintaining law and order in a rapidly evolving technology environment. Law enforcement agencies are increasingly using drones and robots to conduct operations in dangerous or hard-to-reach places. For example, drones can be used to monitor territories, search for suspects, or even deliver medical care in case of emergencies. Facial recognition, fingerprint, iris, and other biometric data technologies are being actively implemented to improve the accuracy of citizen identification, both as part of investigations and to ensure public safety.

The lecture highlighted the importance of integrating modern technologies into the work of law enforcement agencies to ensure a safer society. The lecture participants came to the conclusion that the introduction of innovations contributes not only to improving the efficiency of police work, but also to improving the quality of life of citizens.

After listening to the lecture with interest, the students asked questions about the specifics of working in the police, the specifics of working in different departments, and the prospects in the profession. At the request of the students, the speaker shared cases and stories from his practical experience, which aroused the genuine interest of the audience.

The lecture proved to be useful and informative for future lawyers.
