Exchange of scientific experience with Chinese colleagues

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted a meeting of the university's leadership with a delegation from the Institute of Talents and Industrial Research of Shandong-ASEAN (PRC). During the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was signed.

At the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Board, First Vice–Rector Yerkin Duisenov expressed gratitude to the delegation for their interest in working together and noted that KazNU is actively developing cooperation with leading universities and scientific institutes in China.

 

Academic and research work is actively carried out within the framework of the signed agreements between the universities. A branch of the Northwestern Polytechnic University (NWPU) has been opened and is successfully operating on the basis of KazNU. The University has established research centers and laboratories in cooperation with universities in China: the China-Kazakhstan Joint Laboratory for Remote Sensing Technologies and Applications, the Training and Research Center (with ZTE Corporation), the Center for Sustainable Development in Central Asia, the International China-Kazakhstan Scientific Laboratory for Energy-intensive Nanotechnology, the Laboratory of Communication Technologies 5G/5.5G. "We are confident that our cooperation with the Scientific Research Institute of Talents and Industry will become an important stage in the implementation of joint educational and scientific projects", - Erkin Duisenov said.

The head of the delegation, Director of the Shandong Scientific Research Institute of the ASEAN Talent Industry, Liu Yadong, spoke about the activities of the Shandong-ASEAN Scientific Research Institute of Talent and Industry. Important areas of the Institute's work include attracting international staff, scientific and technical cooperation and the implementation of innovative projects.

After discussing areas of mutually beneficial partnership, the parties concluded a memorandum of understanding, which provides for the exchange of teachers for jointly organized courses, bachelor's, master's, and doctoral students in order to ensure research internships and internships, the development and implementation of joint educational programs, including those providing for the issuance of double diplomas, joint research activities, and other areas.
