Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Kazakhstan Galymzhan Koigeldiev delivered a special lecture for students of the Faculty of Law on the topic "The Prosecutor's Office system and legal policy: current state and development directions" at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
This event was organized by the Department of Civil Law, Civil Procedure and Labor Law. The event, aimed at a comprehensive analysis of the current state of the prosecutor's office system, identifying topical issues of legal policy and considering ways to solve them, was attended by the university leadership, faculty staff and students.
In his lecture, the representative of the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Kazakhstan Galymzhan Koigeldiev noted the influence of legal policy on the development of the state. According to him, legal policy is a set of measures aimed at ensuring order, justice and the rule of law in society through the legislative, law enforcement and judicial systems of the state. The Speaker stressed that the effective implementation of legal policy today increases public confidence in government institutions and contributes to the development of civil society.
"Today, fraud is one of the most common types of crimes. This type of offense is not limited to the borders of one State. It is becoming transnational. Over the past three months, 33,000 fraud-related crimes have been registered in the country, accounting for 34% of the total number of offenses. It is followed by other types – hooliganism and theft. At the same time, the vast majority of crimes are committed via the Internet. For example, in Shanghai, the detection of such criminal cases is carried out using artificial intelligence, which reaches an accuracy of up to 97%. "We also need to carry out similar work. As future specialists, you should learn how to work with artificial intelligence, as it is a vital necessity", - Galymzhan Mambetovich said.
In addition, the speaker paid special attention to the ongoing legal reforms in the country, including the improvement of the judicial and legal system, the modernization of law enforcement agencies and digitalization. He stressed that all these changes are the basis for the formation of a rule-of-law state.
During the lecture, students asked questions and exchanged views on international law, legal regulation of migration processes and cybersecurity. This plays an important role in shaping the professional vision of future specialists, enhancing legal culture and developing the ability to approach global issues legally.
