The Seminar “Expanding the Potential of Social Sciences through New Data Analysis Methods” Successfully Held at KazNU

On April 15, 2025, a scientific seminar titled “Expanding the Potential of Social Sciences through New Data Analysis Methods” was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
The event was organized by the School of Computational Social Sciences at the European University at St. Petersburg, the Department of Recreational Geography and Tourism, and the Department of Mathematics of Al-Farabi KazNU.

The seminar was conducted in a hybrid format (online and offline), bringing together students, faculty members, and researchers interested in modern approaches to data analysis and their application in social sciences.

The seminar also featured active participation from Karlygash Dosmagulova, Deputy Head of the Department of Mathematics for Research and International Relations at KazNU, along with other faculty members from the Department of Mathematics. Their involvement enriched the discussions on applying mathematical methods in social and economic research.
The seminar served as an important academic platform for knowledge exchange, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and advancing innovative data analysis methods within the humanities and social sciences.
This event directly contributes to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals. It stood as an example of successful academic cooperation between Kazakhstani and international research institutions and emphasized the importance of integrating modern digital and analytical tools into education and research to enhance knowledge quality and promote global scientific dialogue.
