Gender and National Education in Higher Education Institutions

On April 17, 2025, the first-year Master’s degree student majoring in Foreign Philology, Aidana Odilova conducted an educational event on the topic: “Gender and National Education in Higher Education Institutions” as a part of her teaching practice. The event was supervised by Azimbaeva I.K., the lecturer at the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Studies.
The aim of the event was to raise awareness among the students about gender equality, to foster respect for national traditions and values, and to develop tolerant individuals capable of embracing diverse perspectives.
During the event, the thematic video was shown, followed by a lively discussion on gender roles and national values in contemporary society. In the interactive session on the topic: “National Values and Today’s Youth,” the students shared their thoughts on the relevance of national upbringing and gender views in today’s youth culture. Key questions discussed included: “What does gender equality mean?” and “What is the role of national upbringing in modern society?” The students were highly engaged and freely expressed their opinions. The session was held at a high standard.
