On April 24, 2025, a seminar for young researchers was held at the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Zhandos Tauanov, PhD, Associate Professor and Chair of the Council of Young Scientists at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The seminar focused on the topic: “Requirements for Writing Scientific Articles and the Responsibilities of Supervisors and Doctoral Students.” The event covered important aspects such as effective communication with academic supervisors, academic writing standards, structuring scientific articles, avoiding plagiarism, as well as managing and funding research projects.

Participants gained knowledge and skills in the following areas:

  • Setting SMART goals and structuring research directions;

  • Working with scholarly databases such as Google Scholar, PubMed, and JSTOR;

  • Structuring key components of scientific articles (abstract, methods, results, conclusion);

  • Utilizing project management tools such as Gantt charts, Kanban boards, and WBS;

  • Understanding the TRL methodology and grant systems offered by the Science Committee of Kazakhstan.

The seminar concluded with an engaging Q&A session where young researchers shared insights and discussed common mistakes in research writing and publishing.

Such initiatives play a vital role in fostering the professional growth of early-career scientists and strengthening connections within the academic community.
