Best practices in qualitative research

A training seminar on "Best practices in qualitative research" was held at the Farabi Library of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
The seminar was conducted by Dr. Rab Nawaz Lodhi, Associate Professor at the University of the Punjab (Lahore, Pakistan) and Senior Research Fellow at Virsend University (California, USA). Dr. Lodhi is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of South Florida (USA) and has an academic portfolio comprising 86 publications indexed in the Scopus database, with an h-index of 15. He has conducted scientific and methodological training sessions in 14 countries and served as a guest editor for the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Technology (indexed in SSCI and Scopus Q1), published by Emerald.
The comprehensive training seminar was organized for doctoral students and faculty members in the social, behavioral, and humanities sciences. The dynamic and informative session focused on modern approaches in qualitative research, the integration of AI tools into academic work, as well as methods of data collection and analysis.
The practice-oriented workshop proved to be extremely useful for all participants. Doctoral students have gained valuable knowledge about the application of modern research methods, which will help them successfully complete their dissertation research and increase the number of publications in journals indexed in Scopus. The teachers also expressed interest in applying the best practices discussed for the development of grant projects and the creation of publications with high scientific impact.
The seminar was an important step towards strengthening research competencies and promoting a culture of academic excellence at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
