📚 In Honor of Knowledge Day: First-Year Student Welcome Meeting to Launch the New Academic Year

On September 2, 2025, the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology held an orientation meeting for first-year students to mark the start of the new academic year. The curriculum, principles of academic integrity, the advising system, and student services were presented, and students’ questions were addressed.

The meeting was attended by the Faculty Dean — Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Meruert Sakenovna Kurmanbayeva — and the University’s Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs — PhD, Associate Professor Alina Kulbaevna Galeeva. Department chairs and faculty members — Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Almira Melsovna Kustubayeva; Candidate of Biological Sciences, Professor Nursulu Ziyahanovna Akhtayeva; Acting Professor Aida Serikovna Kistaubayeva; PhD Gulnar Bolatkyzy Kegenova, and other colleagues — introduced the faculty’s educational opportunities and research directions.

This year, the faculty admitted 853 undergraduate (bachelor’s) students: 610 state grant holders, 36 fee-paying students, and 207 students from Turkmenistan. In addition, 112 master’s students and 59 doctoral students commenced their studies. The event helped first-year students quickly adapt to faculty life and gain a comprehensive understanding of the educational process. We wish everyone a successful academic year!
