SDG 11. Kazakh Cinema — A Cultural Heritage
Visiting cultural venues such as theatres and cinemas, as well as exploring the picturesque sights of our beautiful city during extracurricular time, plays an important role in the social adaptation of students coming from abroad.
In this context, within the framework of the "Unified Education" (SDG 4-11) concept, the students of the Department of Pre-University Training visited one of the cinemas in Almaty to watch the inspiring film "Ystyq Uya", which profoundly reflects Kazakh traditions, customs, and moral values.
The students, who came from different countries (Mongolia and the People's Republic of China), gained spiritual nourishment by connecting with the centuries-old history of the Kazakh people through the art of cinema. The event also served as a great opportunity for the students to get to know each other better and strengthen friendly ties. As a result, they returned with great impressions and wonderful memories.
Purpose of the event: The memory of the younger generation is shaped through the understanding of history and literature. Kazakh cinema is Kazakh history — a cultural heritage that leaves an indelible mark. It is a memory of today for the future.
Serious and high-quality cinematic works that awaken historical consciousness are a key to a bright future for the nation.
Through historical films, we aim to introduce students to the great figures who left their mark on history and to instill in them the value of national relics and cultural heritage.
