The Future Is Near: Students of the Department of Thermophysics and Technical Physics Discuss Kazakhstan’s Leading Companies

“Who will I become after graduation? Where am I truly needed?” — these were the questions that sparked an active discussion among 4th-year students of the Department of Thermophysics and Technical Physics at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
During the open meeting held on October 13, 2025, future engineers explored Kazakhstan’s leading companies — Samruk-Energy, Kazatomprom, KEGOC, ERG, KazMunayGas and others that drive progress in energy, mechanical engineering, and scientific innovation.

The discussion focused on the most in-demand competencies of modern engineers, digitalization, innovation, and the growing importance of green energy.

This initiative contributes to the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
