Research Internship – SDG 4 Quality Education and SDG 17 Partnerships for the Goals
The Department of Plasma Physics, Nanotechnology and Computer Physics is pleased to announce that Amanat Erkinuly Abdrakhmanov, a 3rd-year doctoral student, successfully completed a research internship at the Kyoto Institute of Technology (Kyoto, Japan) from August 16 to October 17, 2025. The purpose of the internship was to strengthen international scientific collaboration, exchange experience, and conduct joint research activities within the scope of his doctoral research.
During the internship, Amanat worked in a clean room, conducting XPS (X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy) analyses. This technique allows for precise determination of the elemental composition, chemical state, and surface structure of samples. The experience significantly enhanced the doctoral student’s research skills, improved the quality of his dissertation, and contributed to the preparation of scientific publications.
Additionally, the internship allowed the student to establish professional contacts with international researchers, participate in seminars, and attend research group meetings. This activity aligns with SDG 4 – Quality Education and SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals, contributing to the enhancement of the student’s academic potential and strengthening the department’s international collaboration.
The Department of Plasma Physics, Nanotechnology and Computer Physics will continue to actively develop partnerships with leading universities worldwide.
