A course of lectures on the discipline "Ethnography of the peoples of the Turkic world".
The purpose of the discipline is to familiarize students with data on ethnocultural features and ethnic history of the Turkic world.
In this regard , the discipline has the following tasks:
- history of the settlement of the Turkic peoples;
- To consider the ethnic and ethno-cultural processes of the Turkic peoples of Central Asia, the Caucasus, and the Near East.
- Description of the material culture of the Turkic peoples;
- To introduce students to the family customs of the Turkic peoples.
The discipline helps students to apply their knowledge to conduct research in the Central-

In the Asian region, in the practice of public service, in working with archival and literary data, in expert and consulting services in the institutions of the Assembly of Peoples of Kazakhstan, in the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in research and exhibition work and other public institutions. The discipline allows students to get acquainted with the modern conceptual and categorical apparatus, to get a comprehensive and logical-systematic approach to the culture and everyday life of the Turkish peoples.
