International Olympiad “Al-Farabi 2026"

 

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University holds the annual "Al-Farabi 2026" International Olympiad for 11th-grade students from Kazakhstan and the CIS countries, as well as from near and far foreign educational organizations, to support talented students.

The «Al-Farabi 2026» Olympiad is held with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the republican scientific and practical center "Daryn" to identify and support gifted students.

 

Benefits for the Winners:

-                      Diplomas of I, II, and III degree awarded by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University;

-                      Priority admission rights in accordance with the current legislation;

-                      Tuition fee discount at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University;

-                      For graduates of educational institutions from CIS countries, as well as near and far abroad - admission without entrance examinations with a tuition fee discount at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

 

Olympiad Subjects: (Kazakh, Russian and English languages)

Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Computer Science, History of Kazakhstan, World History, Kazakh Language and Literature, Russian Language and Literature, English, German and French Languages, Fundamentals of Law.

 

Format and Timeline:

Registration: February 24 – March 7 on the website http://online-test.kaznu.kz (as an applicant).

The Olympiad is held in three stages.

Rounds I and II are qualifying rounds conducted online (with proctoring from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Astana time).

Round I: March 12-13

Round II: March 19-20

 

Participants who score 23 points or higher advance to Rounds II and III, respectively.

Round III: March 27 (offline at the university)

- For school students of the Republic of Kazakhstan: March 27 offline at the university.

- For foreign participants and school students who have received permission to participate online in accordance with paragraph 10, subparagraph 2 of the Rules of the Olympiad, Round III will be held online on March 27 (10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Zoom). The tasks in Round III include tests, practical and theoretical problem solving, essays, and situational tasks (depending on the field of study).
