The program aims to train a competitive general and molecular genetics specialist with theoretical knowledge and practical skills in conducting genetic research to solve scientific and practical problems in biology, medicine, biotechnology, agriculture and ecology
LO1. Analyze genetic mechanisms and processes at the molecular, cellular, organismal and population levels.
LO2. Interpret molecular genetic changes and their impact on health and heredity.
LO3. Apply genetic methods to create and improve biological objects in medicine and agriculture.
LO4. Use modern molecular genetic technologies for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
LO5. Interpret the results of genetic research, taking into account the statistical significance and scientific novelty
LO6. Analyze scientific and patent information with the help of modern information technologies.
LO7. Teach theoretical and applied disciplines using a student-oriented approach, digital and interactive methods and other modern educational technologies.
LO8. Conduct interdisciplinary research to solve complex problems in biology, medicine, ecology and agriculture
LO9. Comply with ethical and legal norms in scientific and professional research.
LO10. Carry out professional and personal self-education for professional growth

Employment
Employment includes work in the following activities: • Research and production activities: collection and preparation of scientific materials, processing of field and experimental research results, implementation of technological control over biological production processes, solution of design and production tasks requiring basic biological and special training in the field of genetics. • Applied molecular diagnostics, laboratory activities: obtaining materials for laboratory analysis, qualified analysis, conclusions on the results of the analysis. • Forensic medical examination and medical genetic counseling - determination of paternity, determination of the ownership of the biomaterial (DNA tests) and cytogenetic analysis, conclusion on the results of the analyzes. • Biomonitoring and biological control of the state of the natural environment, assessment of mutagenic environmental factors. • Pedagogical activity: teaching in institutions of secondary and higher professional education. • Organizational and managerial: organization of research and production teams and their management; organization and conduct of field and experimental research; organization of work on the introduction of innovations in genetics. There is the possibility of academic mobility and scientific internships in universities and research institutes in the near and far abroad.
