Educational program
Preparation of highly qualified scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel capable of predicting and managing the basics of geographical science, assimilating new knowledge objects, as well as generating new knowledge in the field of geographical problems, formulating production problems and solving them with the help of innovative research methods; able to create a new conceptual knowledge, developing science; reasonably present it to specialists in the context of scientific discussions, including international, in the working language of the scientific event
1. Apply methods of integrated territorial analysis and management of socio-economic, physical-geographical and political processes, both at the level of individual countries and at the global level
2. Use project management models, analyze their effectiveness, taking into account the risks of adapting these models to specific geographic objectives;
3. Plan, develop, implement and coordinate the research process;
4. Use modern innovative methods for processing geographic information using GIS technology;
5. Conduct research projects using statistical, mathematical, cartographic research methods;
6. To find organizational and managerial decisions and readiness to bear responsibility for them, to master the methods of project management and the willingness to implement them using modern software;
7. Based on the processing of socio-demographic, economic, physiographic and geoecological indicators, suggest ways and mechanisms for solving geographic problems;
8. To conduct scientific and practical assessment, analysis, monitoring, management and forecasting of geographic processes, using legislative and regulatory documents based on field research;
9. Develop a set of measures to solve problems and determine the prospects for the development of modern geographical science;
10. Publish and present scientific results to stakeholders and the public;
11. Predict the development of natural-economic and territorial socio-economic systems of different levels, in the context of globalization and integration;
12. To conduct pedagogical and methodical work in the direction of the environment, applying innovative methods of teaching geography in universities and postgraduate education.
Educational programs of doctoral studies
Persons entering doctoral studies (PhD) submit the following package of documents:
when applying to organizations of university and postgraduate education:
1) an application addressed to the head of the organization of higher and postgraduate education (in any form);
2) a document on education (original, when submitting documents to the selection committee);
3) identity document (required for personal identification);
4) official certificate of passing the state language exam (KAZTEST) issu
