Educational program

Aim of EP – training of qualified scientific personnel with a high level of professional competencies, values and leadership qualities for carrying out research, pedagogical, restoration, expert-advisory, administrative-managerial, cultural and educational activities, successfully implementing scientific projects in the field of archeology, complex field and laboratory research, using modern methodology, digital technologies and international collaborations.

ON1 Critically assess the prospects for the development of scientific trends, carry out scientific reconstruction of historical and cultural processes and phenomena, conceptual models of archaeological cultures and phenomena, develop methodological approaches and techniques for the study of topical problems of archaeological science;
ON2 Prepare and present the results of their own scientific research in the form of publications with a high impact factor, sections in collective monographs, scientific and popular scientific publications;
ON3 To lead archaeological expeditions, develop a program of comprehensive research of monuments, involving specialists in natural sciences and related fields of humanitarian knowledge, as well as additional sources of funding;
ON4 To review scientific publications within the field of research, organize and conduct scientific events;
ON5 To carry out an examination of the lands allocated for construction, scientific projects, reports in the field of archeology; to assess the level, prospects and effectiveness of scientific research; to advise administrative authorities on the protection of monuments of historical and cultural significance; to develop scientific support for design and estimate documentation;
ON6 Participate in competitions (tenders, grants) to finance scientific activities, design and organize the effective use of material and financial resources, make informed decisions in order to increase the effectiveness of the entire group of researchers;
ON7 To create and develop an international collaboration, to organize interaction with colleagues, the scientific community, social partners, including foreign ones, to search for new social and economic partners in solving urgent research tasks in archaeology;
ON8 To implement the results of their own research into teaching activities, using modern information and multimedia tools and teaching methods, to prepare educational and methodological documentation.

Educational programs of doctoral studies

Persons entering doctoral studies (PhD) submit the following package of documents:
when applying to organizations of university and postgraduate education:
1) an application addressed to the head of the organization of higher and postgraduate education (in any form);
2) a document on education (original, when submitting documents to the selection committee);
3) identity document (required for personal identification);

Training of personnel on the educational trajectory is carried out for the following areas of professional activity: - Researcher in research institutes in the field of history, archeology, with the skills of organizing and implementing international and national scientific projects; - A professional archaeologist who has the skills to organize and conduct complex archaeological expeditions, etc.; - A teacher of higher educational institutions in the profile; - Specialist in working with scientific and methodological, educational and methodical documentation; - Specialist in scientific restorations in the field of archaeology (reconstruction of archaeological sites, ancient technologies); - Restorer with skills in conservation and restoration work with archaeological artifacts; - Specialist in conducting expert examinations of archaeological sites, scientific reports and applications in the field of archeology of Kazakhstan; - Member of commissions and committees of organizations whose activities are related to the protection of historical, archaeological, and cultural monuments: UNESCO, ICOMOS, and ICOM.
