Training of competitive personnel in the field of water diplomacy and maintenance of co-operative peaceful relations between countries concerning the management and use of water resources when disputes, conflicts or potential causes of tension between states arise.
ON 1. Create scientific texts in Kazakh, Russian, English to analyze scientific information and provide recommendations and expert opinions on the development of educational and research projects in the field of water resources management and assessment;
ON 2. Make decisions in the development of legislation and documents in the field of water resources management in a changing climate;
ON 3. Apply information management tools in implementing IWRM to address water issues and sustainable development;
ON 4 Apply diplomatic negotiation strategies and techniques to resolve water conflicts;
ON 5. Assess the mechanisms of water allocation of transboundary water resources in various regional situations;
ON 6. Analyze mechanisms for resolving disputes between neighboring countries in transboundary water allocation for the rational use and protection of water resources;
ON 7. Evaluate policies, institutional mechanisms, principles and tools for solving water problems at the international and regional level;
ON 8. Navigate modern approaches and methodology of water diplomacy to analyze international and Kazakhstani experience in water diplomacy;
ON 9. Apply data analysis methods and modelling techniques to predict the climate change impacts on water resources;
ON 10. Apply basic methodologies and apptaking into account international, modern ideas about management by values in a team;
ON 11. Argue the economic benefits of water conflict resolution based on the specifics of the water economies of Kazakhstan and neighbouring countries;
ON 12. Analyse global and regional agreements in the field of water law to develop efficient use of water resources.
