Research Center for Economic Research

The Center for Economic Research was established on the basis of the decision of the Academic Council of the University No. 3 dated January 17, 2011, by the order of the Rector of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University No. 15 dated January 24, 2011, as a structural subdivision of the Higher School of Economics and Business of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

2. development of international cooperation within the competence of the Center, in order to conduct general research, prepare and publish scientific articles in rating publications indexed in the international databases Scopus and/or Web of Science;

3. participation in international scientific conferences, round tables, competitions, exhibitions and other events in the areas of research of the Center;

4. participation in competitions for the financing of fundamental and applied programs, including at the expense of the republican and local budgets, international organizations and foundations, contractual works;

5. organization of implementation of applied and fundamental projects related to the analysis and modeling of the processes of development of the domestic economy through the development of interaction with business entities, civil society, state and local government;

The purpose of the Center is to coordinate the scientific, methodological, educational potential of the HSE and its integration with the applied experience of business representatives and government agencies for the analysis and development of scientific problems in the following areas:

- research of socio-economic problems and prospects of development of society and economy in Kazakhstan;

- study of the processes of transformation of the structure of the economy in Kazakhstan in the conditions of the formation of a new world order;

- development of a methodology for managing changes in socio-economic systems at the national, regional and local levels of the economy of Kazakhstan, taking into account modern geopolitical realities;

- research of problems of development of higher economic education in Kazakhstan in order to bridge the gap between academic ideas and real problems of the economy;
