About us
The Department of IT Infrastructure Development (ORITI Department) of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University was founded in 1963 as the Laboratory of Computing Machines at the Department of Computational Mathematics of the Physics and Mathematics Faculty of S.M. Kirov Kazakh State University, which existed as the Educational and Computing Center, Computer Center, and Department of Information and Communication Technologies. The activities of the ORITI Department are aimed at implementing the University Informatization Development Strategy, such as: developing a unified network infrastructure, introducing the latest information technologies into the educational process, automating financial and economic activities and document flow of the university. One of the main activities of the ORITI Department is the formation of a modern integrated information system of the university, organizing the university's representation in the Internet information space, providing modern electronic services for teachers and students.
Today, the IT- Infrastructure Development Department employs the best IT specialists, young and creative individuals who create advanced application software products and management mechanisms for the IT infrastructure of the university.
The Department consists of 2 main departments:

2.Management for the development of information business logic
- IT Infrastructure Development Department – solves the tasks of maintaining the university's IT infrastructure, which include planning the development and modernization of network and server infrastructure, providing computer equipment to university departments, administration of network and server resources, system and technical support of computer equipment, video surveillance and access control systems.
- Management for the development of information business logic – is engaged in the development, implementation and maintenance of information systems and resources of the unified corporate information system of the university. Allows you to solve problems related to the design, development, testing and implementation of the developed software.
