Interactive Physics Lesson with AI Tools: KazNU Associate Professor Engages Middle School Students

18 november, 2025

On November 18, 2025, Associate Professor A.A. Kuikabaeva from the Department of Thermophysics and Technical Physics of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University conducted an interactive physics lesson for 8th-grade students at a school in the Alatau district. The session was organized in the format of a team competition called “PhysBattle”, where students solved physics problems, carried out experiments, and discussed the relevance of physical phenomena in everyday life.

A distinctive feature of the lesson was the integration of artificial intelligence tools. Students used modern AI platforms to interpret experimental results, explain physical processes, and search for optimal solutions. The virtual assistant Alisa supported the teams by guiding them through tasks and helping them articulate their conclusions more clearly.

Associate Professor Kuikabaeva emphasized the importance of combining scientific knowledge, hands-on experiments, and digital technologies in the learning process. Such activities inspire interest in physics, enhance analytical thinking, and teach students to use AI as a powerful tool for exploring the world.

The initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 “Quality Education” and SDG 9 “Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure”, by fostering digital literacy, scientific curiosity, and innovation-oriented thinking among young learners.
