Standards Day: An Open Class Inspiring Professional Growth
Fourth-year students of the “Standardization and Certification (by inductry)” educational program held an informative open tutorial session dedicated to the International Standards Day for first-year students of the Department of Thermal and Technical Physics. The event was supervised by the department curator, G.K. Taimanova.
The purpose of the session was to increase students’ interest in the specialty, demonstrate the importance of standardization in society, and broaden their professional understanding. Senior students shared their academic experience and provided insights into the fundamentals of standards, quality assurance, the role of international requirements, and current trends in the development of the field.
The session was conducted in an interactive format: game-based tasks, team activities, and logical questions helped first-year students better understand the material and participate more actively. The event supports SDG 4 “Quality Education” and SDG 9 “Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure,” contributing to the development of professional competencies of future specialists.
The open tutorial session was held at a high level and left a positive impression on all participants.
