The Faculty Held Its 3rd Regular Meeting of the Academic Council
SDG-4 The Faculty held its 3rd regular meeting of the Academic Council, where a number of important and current issues were discussed.
During the meeting, the Council reviewed and approved topics for diploma and master’s theses, appointed scientific supervisors for doctoral students, and discussed the organization of the pedagogical internship for master’s students (spring intake).
In addition, plans for professional orientation (career guidance) and image-building activities, the work plan of the Council for Employer Relations, and the work plan of the Veterans Council were approved.
The meeting resulted in specific decisions aimed at strengthening the Faculty’s key areas of activity and defining the main priorities for the upcoming period.
One of the key topics discussed was the participation of the Faculty’s professors and doctoral students in the annual AMIC International Conference, which took place in Mumbai on October 9–11, 2025. The participants presented their research papers and exchanged professional experience at the international level.
It is worth noting that the Asian Media Information and Communication Centre (AMIC) honored Dr. Karlyga Mysaева, Candidate of Philological Sciences and Professor at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, with a special award for her outstanding leadership in journalism education, media research, and international cooperation in Central Asia. Established in 2006, this award is presented by a professional association with a 54-year history and is recognized as one of the most prestigious international honors in the field of media and communication.
