On November 17, 2025, doctoral students of the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature — Lai Chunlan, Zhang Haozhan, and Kabdulova Gulzhan Mynzhasarovna — together with fourth-year students majoring in “Russian Language and Literature,” conducted an educational event titled “National Currency.” The purpose of the event was to examine the history of the formation and development of the national currencies of Kazakhstan and China.
During the event, information was presented on the origin and evolution of national currencies, banknote design, anti-counterfeiting technologies, and digital currency. The presentations delivered by the doctoral students from China attracted particular interest, as they vividly demonstrated features of their national currency. The students gained a deeper understanding of the specific characteristics of national currency formation in Kazakhstan and China, expanded their knowledge of the role of currency in the economy and culture of both countries, and learned about SDG-4 and its significance for future specialists.
