Guest Lecture within the Framework of SDG 3 “Good Health and Well-Being
On December 3, 2025, a guest lecture was held within the framework of SDG 3 “Good Health and Well-Being” with the participation of Sabit Bekseitovich Pazylyov, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor, surgeon of the highest category, and Professor of the Department of Surgical Diseases at Asfendiyarov KazNMU.
The goal of Sustainable Development Goal 3 is aimed at improving the health and well-being of the population, which is the foundation for the sustainable development of society.
S. B. Pazylyov: “A healthy mind in a healthy body” — we have heard this saying many times. This simple phrase carries a profound meaning, because a healthy lifestyle is a prerequisite for the development of various aspects of human activity.

A healthy population is the basis for social well-being and a stable economic situation both for an individual and for the nation as a whole. Healthy youth mean a healthy future generation. In his speeches, our President constantly emphasizes that one of the state’s priority tasks is improving the nation’s health and promoting sports. The desire to maintain good health and live a fulfilling life is an important social need of people. “Only a healthy nation can achieve great accomplishments,” says the President of our country. Healthy youth and a healthy nation are the key to the state’s success and further prosperity.
In fact, the Sustainable Development Goals concern every person, as they cover all spheres of human life — starting from the food we consume and extending to the parks where you walk with your family on weekends. Therefore, it is important to understand this interconnectedness. For example, it is impossible to solve the issue of poverty without addressing a range of challenges in healthcare, education, economic growth, social protection, and many others.
A healthy lifestyle must become the norm for every citizen of Kazakhstan, and we will strive for this because we understand: healthy youth today means a healthy nation in the future.
