The Scientists of the Future project has been launched
The Al-Farabi Kazakh National University has launched the international project "Scientists of the Future", aimed at strengthening and developing cooperation between universities in Kazakhstan and Russia, as well as promoting advanced ideas in the field of education, science and innovation.
The large–scale event was opened by the moderator, Director of the Center for Russian Language and Culture, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Saule Begalieva, who expressed gratitude to the organizers and partners of the project, as well as to all invited scientists and experts – representatives of leading universities and research centers in Kazakhstan and Russia. Among them are the Pushkin State Institute of the Russian Language, Lomonosov Moscow State University, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Bauman Moscow State Technical University and other universities. "Such a wide representation confirms the importance of joint scientific initiatives and opens up new opportunities for academic mobility, exchange of experience and implementation of research projects",- Saule Bayazovna emphasized.

Alina Galeeva, Member of the Board and Vice–Rector for Academic Affairs, delivered a welcoming speech on behalf of the university's management. She noted the wide range of areas of the Scientists of the Future project – from medicine and biological sciences to physics, mathematics, humanities and innovative technologies. It fully complies with global trends and sustainable development goals.

The event was continued by Grigory Tarsevich, a well–known Russian journalist, popularizer of science, publicist and teacher, who gave a lecture "Methods of popularization of science: from comics and magazines to lecture halls and schools".


The project also included a quiz with students on "Scientists of the Future", the opening ceremony of the International Certification Center for Russian as a Foreign Language, and other events.

The university's faculties will host meetings with scientists for two days, during which participants will discuss a wide range of topics: "How information technology is changing reality", "Artificial Intelligence: how to make this superpower work for you", "Positioning IT startups: be a signal, not a noise"; "Philology – literature – rhetoric – culture of speech: a look into the future from the past and present", etc.
