The continuity of Turkic languages and civilization is considered

A scientific and educational seminar on "Unity in diversity" was held at al-Farabi Kazakh National University as part of the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Day of Turkic Languages.: Turkic languages and world civilization".

The event was dedicated to the preservation and study of the linguistic and cultural heritage of the Turkic peoples, as well as its development in the context of modern civilization.

The scientific seminar was organized jointly by the Scientific Research Institute of Turkology and Altaistics of KazNU and the Farabi Library. It was attended by leading experts in the fields of Turkology, Slavic studies, philosophy, librarianship and digital humanities, as well as young researchers and students.

Within the framework of the seminar, Professor, Executive Director of the KazNU Research Institute of Turkology and Altaic Studies, Nursulu Shaimerdenova, made a presentation on the topic "Knowledge of truth in the Turkic-Slavic context: from glossary to artificial intelligence and media discourse".

"Today, language is not only a traditional means of communication, it is reaching a new level through artificial intelligence and the media space. The adaptation of the Turkic languages to these processes is an important task of science and education",- the scientist noted.

The report by the leading specialist of the Laboratory of Manuscripts at the Research Institute of Turkology and Altaic Studies, PhD, Akkuralai Iskender, was devoted to the topic "Preservation of the epistolary heritage and its importance in shaping the Eurasian cultural model". She emphasized the scientific value of historical written sources.

The seminar was supported by leading scholars from Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Chuvashia, Uzbekistan, Russia (Yakutia), and Kazakhstan, who expressed their congratulations and emphasized the cultural unity of the Turkic world.

 

The seminar then moved to the discussion platform titled “Strategies for the Preservation, Study, and Promotion of Turkic Heritage”. Participants discussed issues related to the digitization of Turkic manuscripts, the development of electronic repositories and open access systems, as well as the role of libraries and research institutes as centers of humanities expertise.

 

The scientific and educational seminar was held within the framework of the scientific project "Turkic languages of Kazakhstan in the context of spiritual renewal of society: from graphics to epic text", implemented with grant funding from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2024-2026.
