SDG 4 – Quality Education: The Influence of Theatrical Art on the Development of Critical Thinking of the Law Faculty Students
Associate Professor of the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature of the Faculty of Philology, Ainas Ashmetzhanova Ilyasovna, together with students of the Faculty of Law, visited the N. Sats Theatre, where a performance based on “The House with the Mezzanine”play by Anton Chekov was staged.
On November 28, 2025, the first-year students of the “Jurisprudence” major undertook a cultural and educational visit to the theatre as part of studying the socio-moral aspects of classical literature and its influence on the worldview of future professionals. The event aimed at broadening the students’ humanitarian and professional horizons, as well as forming a general cultural foundation in accordance with the objectives of SDG 4 – Quality Education.
During the visit, the students were introduced to a theatrical interpretation of “The House with the Mezzanine”, which addresses important issues of moral choice, social responsibility, and the relationship between the individual and society. The performance helped students gain a deeper understanding of the value of cultural heritage and its role in shaping legal thinking, critically analyzing social phenomena, and developing professionally significant competencies.
