Prevention of Offenses and Issues of Responsibility
On December 10, 2025,the second-year students of the “Foreign Philology” major at the Faculty of Philology of Farabi Kazakh National University held an advisor hour on the topic: “Prevention of Offenses and Issues of Responsibility” within the framework of the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals aimed at building a just and safe society.
As part of the event, the students organized a thematic meeting during which the main types of offenses, their causes, and social consequences were discussed. Particular attention was paid to the role of young people in the prevention of offenses and the formation of legal culture in society.
During the discussions, participants emphasized the importance of complying with the law, personal responsibility of each citizen, and respect for the rights and freedoms of others. The students noted that legal awareness is one of the key factors in preventing unlawful behavior among young people.
In addition, real-life situations and examples from social practice were reviewed during the event. Participants exchanged views on how the development of legal consciousness, an increase in legal literacy, and an active civic position can contribute to reducing the level of offenses. Following the discussions, students prepared short presentations and informational materials of an educational nature.
The event contributed to the development of students’ sense of responsibility for their actions, the formation of legal thinking, and awareness of the importance of observing laws. Participants concluded that the prevention of offenses begins with respect for the law, self-discipline, and conscious behavior of every individual.
Farabi Kazakh National University consistently supports initiatives aimed at developing legal culture and civic responsibility among students. The university creates favorable conditions for educational and awareness-raising activities.
The event made a significant contribution to increasing the level of legal culture among students and enhancing their understanding of issues related to responsibility and the prevention of offenses.
