The Erasmus+ Information Day in Kazakhstan
The Erasmus+ Information Day in Kazakhstan, organized by the National Erasmus+ Office in Kazakhstan with the support of the Committee for Higher and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the European Education and Culture Executive Agency, was held in a hybrid format at Esil University.
The event brought together university leaders, academic staff, administrative personnel, and members of the academic community, including Z.K. Shortanbayeva (Al-Farabi Kazakh National University).
The Information Day featured a series of presentations on the results of the Erasmus+ 2025 call, updates for the 2026 call, and practical guidance on preparing competitive project proposals. The sessions covered Capacity Building in Higher Education, Jean Monnet, and Erasmus Mundus, highlighting best practices of international project implementation.
The program also included an Erasmus+ project exhibition, networking sessions, and individual consultations provided by the National Erasmus+ Office in Kazakhstan.
Overall, the Information Day highlighted the contribution of the Erasmus+ programme to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
