SDG 3, 11. The presentation of the books “Sources on the History of Mongolian Kazakhs: Taudanbek and Däuitbay” and “Zhangğyryq”

The students of the Department of Pre-University Training took part in the presentation of the books “Sources on the History of Mongolian Kazakhs: Taudanbek and Däuitbay” and “Zhangğyryq”, organized by the staff of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the Faculty of Pre-University Education, and the National Library within the framework of TDM-3,11.

During the event, 25 speakers delivered informative presentations on the history of the creation of Däuitbay’s works, a descendant of Taudanbek, as well as on their source base and research directions.

In addition, public figures and scholars of the Kazakh diaspora from Mongolia, the People’s Republic of China, and Iran sent congratulatory messages, highlighting the historical and educational significance of the presented books.

At the end of the event, Tyumenbai Nurlan performed a kui by Däuitbay, giving the presentation a cultural conclusion.

Purpose of the event:

To introduce the students to the historical and ethnographic heritage of the Mongolian Kazakhs, to discuss the content of the new scholarly works and the specifics of their research, as well as to strengthen scientific ties with representatives of the Kazakh diaspora.
