Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan. A series of mentoring sessions for international students.
The Faculty of Pre-University Education held a series of mentoring sessions dedicated to Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Organized by faculty from the Department of Language and General Education for International Students, the events were aimed at deepening the students' knowledge of the history, culture, and traditions of Kazakhstan, as well as their socio-cultural adaptation.
Cultural work with international students is an important aspect of the educational process. It is aimed not only at academic preparation but also at creating a comfortable environment that facilitates integration into the cultural life of the host country.
The key objectives of the mentoring sessions were to familiarize students with the historical significance of December 16 – the day the Law on Independence and State Sovereignty of the Republic of Kazakhstan was adopted; and to foster respect for state symbols, history, and culture of the people of Kazakhstan.

For international students, these mentoring hours offer an opportunity to better understand the sociocultural environment they find themselves in. They help overcome cultural barriers, facilitate successful adaptation, and foster a sense of belonging to the university.
