Teachers of the Department of Chemistry and Technology of Organic Substances, Natural Compounds and Polymers R.K. Rakhmetullaeva, A.K. Toktabaeva and A.Zh. Alikulov together with students of group 404 of the Kazakh branch of the educational program "6B07201 - Pharmaceutical Production Technology" visited the private school "Nomad International School" (Almaty region, Karasay district, Irgeli village, Alatau street, 1a) as part of the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in the direction of quality education (4.3.4 - educational outreach work outside the university complex) and decent work and economic growth (8.4 - the proportion of students undergoing industrial internships), as well as for the purpose of career guidance support for schoolchildren in choosing their future profile of study and professional field of activity.
СохраненныеDuring the meeting, various demonstration chemical experiments were conducted, aimed at increasing students' interest in the natural sciences. The students were shown indicator color changes, the "volcano" and "Pharaoh's snake" effects, the production of polymeric materials, and simple precipitation and gas evolution reactions. Particular attention was paid to safely performing the experiments, explaining their mechanisms, and their practical significance in everyday life and pharmaceutical production.
The event helped broaden the students' horizons, develop an understanding of modern trends in chemical science and technology, and foster professional self-determination and an informed choice of their future specialty.
