Departmental Events of the Department of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics “Digital Forensics and Digital Traces” within the Framework of SDG 4 “Quality Education”

On December 25, 2025, a professional experience-sharing lecture titled “Digital Forensics and Digital Traces” was held at the premises of the Operational Forensic Department of the Almaty City Police Department. The event was organized by Senior Lecturer of the Department of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics, S.Sh. Daubasov, as part of the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 4 – Quality Education.

The speakers included practitioners with hands-on experience in the detection, documentation, and examination of digital evidence. During the event, participants learned about modern methods of working with digital traces, specific aspects of investigating crimes involving information technologies, as well as the professional competency requirements for forensic specialists.

The experience-sharing lecture was conducted in an interactive format, featuring demonstrations of practical case studies and an open discussion. Participants enhanced their knowledge of digital forensics, assessed opportunities for professional development, and gained insight into contemporary legal education in the digital era.

Participants of the event included:

·         15 officers of the Operational Forensic подразделения of the Almaty City Police    Department;

·         1 faculty member;

·         Total number of participants: 16 people.

The event contributed to strengthening cooperation between the university and law enforcement agencies and supported career guidance activities among young people, fostering interest in legal professions and promoting a culture of lifelong learning.
