Department of Turkish Studies and History of the East Countries Expands Partnership Network for Student Internships
The Department of Turkish Studies and History of the East Countries of the Faculty of Oriental Studies at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University has concluded a series of strategically significant cooperation agreements with leading national and international organizations.
It is particularly emphasized that the successful realization of these agreements was made possible thanks to the active support and facilitation of the Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Almaty, Ms. Tuğba Alan Özdenfedakar (Almatı Başkonsolosu Sn. Tuğba Alan Özdenfedakar), who played an important role in establishing and strengthening institutional partnerships.
The partners include Efes Kazakhstan JSC (Almaty Branch), Almaty International Airport JSC (Almaty Branch), TAV Holding ALA, Kazakh Invest of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Almaty Branch), RAMS, Pegasus, as well as the Eurasian Research Institute of the Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University.
In accordance with the agreements reached, third- and fourth-year students of the educational programs “Translation Studies,” “Oriental Studies,” and “Foreign Philology” of the Department of Turkish Studies and History of the East Countries will complete their professional internships in these organizations from January 19 to March 21 of the current year.
The internship program aims to develop students’ professional competencies, enhance their intercultural communication skills, business translation abilities, and analytical capacities, as well as familiarize them with the operations of international companies and public institutions.
The Faculty of Oriental Studies emphasizes that expanding the partnership network contributes to improving the quality of specialist training and strengthening the university’s interaction with the professional environment.
The Department of Turkish Studies and History of the East Countries will continue to develop academic and practice-oriented cooperation with national and international partners.
