On February 6, at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, an important meeting with students was held within the framework of the «Law and Order» project. The event was attended by qualified specialists from the Domestic Violence Prevention Department of the Public Safety Administration of the Almaty City Police Department, who conducted an open and interactive dialogue with the students. The main goal of the meeting was to enhance students’ legal literacy, foster a culture of law compliance, and raise awareness about personal responsibility in matters of public safety. Such initiatives contribute to the development of legal culture among young people, strengthen their civic position, and help them become active and responsible members of society.

During the meeting, the specialists provided detailed information on the prevention of domestic violence, its types and consequences, and the role of every citizen in preventing such situations. Students were informed about how to approach law enforcement agencies, the social and legal support available to victims, and the measures that can be taken to combat violence in society. The speakers illustrated their points with real-life examples and statistical data, helping students to better understand the topic. This had a significant impact on fostering students’ legal awareness, reinforcing their understanding of the importance of protecting their own rights while respecting the rights of others. Students shared their impressions of the meeting and emphasized the relevance of these topics for society.

In addition, road safety was given special attention. Students were shown videos aimed at explaining the importance of following traffic rules, and the main causes of traffic accidents, as well as ways to prevent them, were discussed in detail. Specialists explained the duties of both pedestrians and drivers, the importance of caution and responsibility on the road, providing concrete examples. Students shared their personal experiences and gained a deeper understanding of the importance of road safety in everyday life. Many participants noted that after the meeting they better appreciated the need to follow traffic rules.

The meeting was conducted in an interactive format. Students actively participated, asked questions, and received full and precise answers from the specialists. The open dialogue not only increased students’ legal literacy but also helped foster trust in the law and respect for it. Moreover, such meetings motivate students to participate actively in public life, express their opinions openly, and take responsibility for maintaining safety in society. Many students expressed that, after the meeting, they are ready to become responsible citizens who are aware of their rights and duties.

Students aspiring to work in this field in the future also asked relevant questions and received comprehensive answers from the specialists, who shared examples from practical experience.
