Advancing Quality Education and Sustainable Society through Theatre Art

6 february, 2026

On February 6, 2026, first-year students of the Ethnology and Anthropology and Social and Cultural Anthropology study programs participated in a cultural event by visiting a theatre as part of their educational and developmental activities. The event aimed to enhance students’ cultural awareness and deepen their understanding of culture as a socio-cultural phenomenon. Through theatrical art, students explored social values, the interaction between tradition and modern cultural processes, and developed skills in cultural analysis and critical thinking.

This cultural and educational activity aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 – Quality Education and SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities. Combining theoretical knowledge with practical cultural experience contributes to the development of analytical competencies and supports the principle of lifelong learning. Furthermore, visiting a theatre as a key element of urban cultural infrastructure promotes respect for cultural heritage, cultural diversity, and active participation in the cultural life of the community.

The event made a meaningful contribution to the professional socialization of students and the development of their cultural responsibility as future anthropologists. The event was supervised by PhD, Senior Lecturer Abdinassir Nazira.
