SDG-4 On February 2, 2026, a group of second-year journalism students from the Kyrgyz State University named after I. Arabaev - Umut Emilbekkyzy, Kadicha Melisova, Aysunat Adiletova, Aisezim Kanatbekova, Salamat Munduzbekova, Aizada Djainakova, and Artur Törobaev - arrived at the Department of Press and Electronic Media of the Faculty of Journalism to undertake a one-month professional and educational internship.

For guidance and supervision, they were assigned to senior lecturer Asel Alim and second-year Media Communication student Namaz Lağyl. On their first day, the students familiarized themselves with the life of the faculty and visited classrooms equipped to the new standard.

From February 3, they actively participated in the Winter School titled «Media and Communication in Higher Education: Teaching, Learning, and Digital Transformation».

On February 7, the Kyrgyz students, accompanied by their supervisors, visited the Central State Museum, located in the Samal microdistrict at the foot of Koktobe Mountain. The museum’s collections include valuable artifacts reflecting Kazakhstan’s history from ancient times to the present. The exhibitions cover archaeology, ethnography, numismatics, applied arts, and the history of independent Kazakhstan.

The museum consists of three floors: the first floor houses the Paleontology and Archaeology Hall, and the second floor features the Historical Ethnography Hall, displaying weapons, national clothing, and everyday items of the Kazakh people and other ethnic groups. The Kyrgyz students were deeply impressed by ancient currency (coins, medals, tokens, banknotes) studied in the field of numismatics.

Upon seeing ancient stone monuments with Turkic inscriptions, second-year student Artur Törobaev noted that Kyrgyz researchers are actively studying the Orkhon-Yenisei inscriptions. Likewise, second-year student Salamat Munduzbekova, seeing ancient sybyzgy and shankobyz, noted their Kyrgyz names - sybyzgy and ooz komuz.

On the third floor, in the Gallery, the students particularly admired A. Pudovkin’s painting «Samarkand. Bibi-Khanym», executed in oil on cardboard.

In conclusion, the Kyrgyz guests expressed admiration for the historical and cultural richness of Kazakhstan.
