On February 12, 2026, a ceremonial scientific event dedicated to the International Day of Women and Girls in Science was held at the Scientific Library of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
The initiative aimed to recognize the contribution of women scientists to the development of science, support young female researchers, and promote interest in scientific activities among girls. The event brought together members of the academic community, faculty, students, and young scientists.
Before the official part, guests were welcomed at the entrance by an image group of young women in beautiful national costumes, creating a warm atmosphere and demonstrating respect for cultural traditions. A photo exhibition highlighting the role of women in science was displayed in the foyer.
The musical accompaniment was provided by the student orchestra of national instruments, “Farabi Sazy”. Their performance added a special festive and national flavor to the evening with traditional Kazakh melodies.
