Ecologists are interning at the Institute of Zoology
Environmental students undergo practical training at the Institute of Zoology, one of the oldest and most reputable scientific institutions in the republic in the field of wildlife research and biodiversity conservation. Practice is an important stage in the professional development of future specialists in the field of environmental protection.
For several weeks, students work side by side with the scientific staff of the Institute, get acquainted with modern methods of field and laboratory research, take part in the processing of scientific materials and the study of collections.
Under the guidance of experienced zoologists and ecologists, future specialists master methods of accounting for the number of animals, learn how to work with microscopic equipment, and conduct morphological analysis of samples. Special attention was paid to the conservation of rare and endangered species listed in the Red Book.
Practice allows students not only to consolidate the theoretical knowledge gained at the university, but also to see the real scientific work from the inside. According to the staff of the institute, such programs play an important role in the training of qualified personnel. The Institute of Zoology traditionally supports cooperation with higher education institutions, providing students with the opportunity to immerse themselves in the scientific environment and acquire practical skills.
At the end of the internship, the students expressed their gratitude to the mentors for their valuable experience and professional support. The acquired knowledge and skills will become a solid foundation for their further studies and future careers in the field of ecology and nature conservation.
Completing an internship at the Institute of Zoology is not only an important step towards a profession, but also a contribution to the formation of a new generation of specialists capable of solving urgent environmental problems in Kazakhstan.
