As part of the intercultural exchange program between Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the University of Tsukuba, Kazakhstani students visited Japan for academic and cultural purposes. Students selected from various faculties of the university participated in the program, gaining comprehensive exposure to Japan's scientific, educational, and cultural environment.

The main goal of the program is to expand students' international academic connections, introduce them to the work of research institutions, and strengthen intercultural cooperation between Kazakhstan and Japan. During the short study trip, students visited several leading research centers in Japan. In particular, participants explored the AIST Cube research space within the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, learning about projects in modern technologies and scientific innovation. Additionally, students visited the National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Resilience, where they became acquainted with scientific projects focused on studying natural disasters and mitigating their impact. During the program, the delegation also had the opportunity to explore historical and cultural sites in the city of Tsukuba. Participants visited the Hojo Village area, where traditional Japanese culture and local community life are preserved, gaining detailed insights into the region's cultural heritage, unique characteristics, and the lifestyle of the local community. Special events aimed at promoting intercultural understanding were organized, where students presented national culture and traditions, as well as Kazakh national cuisine. These meetings contributed to fostering open dialogue and cultural exchange in an international academic environment. In the second week of the trip, workshops were held where students worked on projects in groups. Participants presented their projects in the form of presentations, sharing their ideas and research findings. This format allowed students to exchange opinions in an international academic setting and develop public speaking skills.

Overall, the intercultural exchange program provided students with the opportunity to gain international academic experience, closely engage with the work of Japan's leading scientific and research centers, and deepen their understanding of Japanese society's cultural characteristics. The program facilitated not only the acquisition of new knowledge and experience but also the expansion of students' professional horizons in the international scientific and educational arena.
