Creative cooperation between the Faculty of Journalism and the “Zan” Media Corporation.
SDG-17 In today’s intense flow of information, specialized media occupy a particularly important place. Among them, the “Zan” media corporation holds a strong reputation, having promoted legal awareness and the rule of law in the country for more than a quarter of a century. The “Zan” editorial office is not merely a collection of newspapers and magazines; it is a powerful legal and intellectual platform that brings together professional lawyers and journalists. Today, the publications Zan Gazeti and Yuridicheskaya Gazeta have long become a reflection of state policy and judicial-legal reforms. In the modern digital era, the corporation is not limited to traditional formats but is also successfully mastering new media trends. The contribution of these publications to promoting legal principles on the path toward building a rule-of-law state, as stated in the new Constitution, is significant. The president of the “Zan” media corporation, a graduate of the Faculty of Journalism of KazNU, Dosymbek Utegaliev, has been delivering lectures on media management and marketing at our faculty since last year. Journalism students have much to learn from this competent media manager who successfully adapts leading national media outlets to market demands. We keep in mind the task set by the Chairman of the Board — Rector Zhanseit Kanseituly — to develop dual education and involve the most recognized media professionals in teaching. Within this framework, Dosymbek Konysbekuly’s lectures are being held at the editorial office of the “Zan” media corporation.
This evening, we met with him and agreed to strengthen creative cooperation between our faculty and the media corporation, as well as to further enhance dual education.
During the business meeting held at the corporation’s building, Dosymbek emphasized that students, especially those in the press sector, need to master not only creative skills but also practical managerial aspects such as preparing documents for participation in tenders. I fully agree. A modern journalism graduate must be a versatile specialist who is proficient both in creative work and in organizational and economic matters.
