A UNIVERSITY-LEVEL EVENT PROMOTING NATIONAL VALUES
On March 20, 2026, at the initiative of the Faculty of Oriental Studies and organized by the Department of Turkology and History of Eastern Countries, a meaningful and insightful cultural and sports event dedicated to National Sports Day was held at a high level. The event served as an important platform for promoting national heritage and strengthening the university’s institutional image.

Held on a bright spring day, the event was marked by a vibrant and engaging atmosphere. Faculty members and students participated actively, wearing traditional national attire that reflected respect for cultural identity and traditions. The program featured traditional games such as togyzkumalak, tug of war, asyk atu, asyk baige, arm wrestling and others.

The event stood out for its high level of organization and active student involvement. National games functioned not only as competitive activities but also as a means of fostering teamwork, unity, and communication among participants.
As a result of the togyzkumalak competition, the top-performing students were awarded first, second, and third places. Winners received diplomas and memorable prizes in recognition of their achievements.

This event contributed significantly to enhancing the university’s image, promoting national values, and enriching the cultural awareness of students.
