Master class of Refinitiv representative

   On October 1, 2019, the center for stock-exchange technologies at Higher school of Economics and business hosted a master class by N. Pavlov, head of the capital market of Eastern Europe and CIS countries, Refinitiv.

   Refinitiv, is a company formerly a financial & Risk division of Thomson Reuters, with a wide experience and reputation in the financial markets.

   The theme of Nikita Pavlov's seminar was "Investor Relations as a way to increase the market value of the company." To the master class were attended 4th year students of the "Finance" specialty and members of the "Finance and accounting" Department, which runcourses on risk management, stock exchange and financial markets.

   The main issues were related to the internal market infrastructure: access to liquidity, interaction with international counterparties, liquidity management in a volatile internal market, trends in corporate analysis, evolution of the issuers analysis, factors influencing investors' decisions. Students actively participated during the lecture, they expressed interest by asking questions to the practitioner. The best students were awarded certificates.
