FREE ONLINE UZBEK LANGUAGE COURSE IN AL-FARABI KAZNU

On February 23, 2021, the grand opening of the online course of the Uzbek language took place at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi KazNU. The event was attended by the Consul General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Almaty Fatkhullaev A., Rector of the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, Ph.D., Associate Professor G. Rikhsieva, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation of the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, Ph.D. Associate Professor Makhmudov E., Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Al-Farabi KazNU, PhD Paltore Y., PhD of the Department of the Middle East and South Asia Dzhakubaeva S., head of the department of TURKSOY, PhD Kydyrbaeva U., as well as students of the Faculty. In his welcoming speech, the Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies Ykhtiyar Moldatoreuly thanked his colleagues from Uzbekistan and congratulated them, as well as the entire people of Uzbekistan on the 580th anniversary of the great poet Alisher Navoi. A memorandum of cooperation between Al-Farabi KazNU and Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies was signed on July 20, 2017. It should be noted that the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies is one of the largest oriental higher educational institutions in Asia. At the end of January this year, there was held an online meeting, where were discussed priority areas of cooperation and outlined plans for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation for 2021. An important result of this meeting is the launch of a free online course of the Uzbek language for students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi KazNU with the direct support of the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies. Uzbek language courses will be 70 hours and will last until June 25, 2021. Upon completion of this course, students who successfully pass the exams will receive certificates.
