By the decision of the UNESCO International Organization, 2021 was declared the "Year of Yunus Emre" in connection with the 780th anniversary of the great poet Yunus Emre, the founder of the Turkish Sufi school. On April 21, 2021, the Department of Turksoy of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the Kazakh National University. al-Farabi held an international scientific conference on the topic "The place of the great Turkish poet Yunus Emre in the Turkic world."
The conference was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, PhD Yktiyar Paltore Moldatoreevich, who warmly greeted the participants. Then the education attaché of the Consulate General of the Turkish Republic in Almaty Mahmut Agyrman spoke about the historical place of the great poet in the Turkic world. One of the organizers of the conference, Eskisehir Osmangazi University, professor of Turkish language and literature Erdogan Boz made a presentation on the topic “Yunus Emre’de Uyarı Dili”. Head of the Department of Turksoy, PhD Kydyrbaeva Umit Tursynbaevna wished good luck to the young scientists and applicants participating in the conference. Scientists of Turkey - Professor Ali Akar, Dean of the Faculty of Literature of Mugla Sytky Kochman University in a report on the topic "Türk Dili Tarihinde Yunus Emre", as well as PhD Emin Oba in his report on "Yunus Emre'nin Şiirlerinden Kazakçanın Söz Varlığı" Genel Bir Bak talked about the influence of Yunus Emre on the entire Turkic world in their lectures. During the conference, professors to undergraduates and doctoral students shared their experience in studying the activities of the great personality in the Turkic civilization Yunus Emre, his life and work, his place in history, as well as his research on the Sufi teachings of the Turkic peoples. Despite the fact that the conference was held online, it achieved its goal and the online speakers were awarded certificates for participation.
