On February 20, 2021, within the framework of the English Talking Club, Candidate of Philology, Associate Professor U.B. Adilbayeva and a senior teacher G.A. Gaіipova, organized a discussion on the topic of rapidly developing technologies - informatization, online courses for students.
The discussion was attended by registered members of the club on Instagram and first-year students of the Faculty of Information Technology.
Participants discussed the following question:
Has online learning changed the quality of education during the pandemic? Students answered this question and expressed their opinions.
According to Biken Zhalgas, a student of the group CE-2020-1, KazNU teachers were fully prepared for distance learning. A student who wants to study does not choose the situation, they learn the technology quickly, if something is not clear, he makes a video call and asks the teacher. However, in his opinion, "they missed the face to face lessons in the classroom."
According to the 1st year student of the specialty Information Technologies
Aytzhan Bibi, no digital technologies can replace a live conversation with a teacher. There are a lot of such opinions, in the club it is impossible to fit their discussion into one day. Since the topic was a matter of time, the discussion turned out to be very interesting. The club leaders thanked the students for their active participation in the discussion and concluded the discussion. As the result of the meeting of the club, an article was published in the international newspaper “Түркі әлемі”.
